
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — Residents planning to celebrate Independence Day with fireworks will soon be able to purchase and use permissible fireworks within the City of North Platte.
Under city regulations, the sale of permissible fireworks is allowed from June 28 through July 4 each year.
Fireworks may be sold or offered for sale from noon to 10 p.m. daily from June 28 through July 3. On July 4, sales are permitted from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.
The use, discharge, or explosion of permissible fireworks is also allowed from June 28 through July 4. From June 28 through July 3, fireworks may be discharged between noon and 10 p.m. On Independence Day, July 4, fireworks may be used from 8 a.m. until 11:59 p.m.
City officials encourage residents to celebrate responsibly and to be mindful of neighbors, pets, and weather conditions when using fireworks. Fireworks users are reminded to follow all local regulations and practice safety precautions to help ensure a safe holiday for everyone.
