North Platte Post
At Tuesday's meeting, the North Platte City Council will consider appointing a new public service director.
After candidate interviews, Mayor Brandon Kelliher has recommended appointing Steve Mentzer to the position. He would replace Layne Groseth, who recently accepted the city administrator position.
The council will also consider realigning the parks and cemetery departments with the recreation and senior center departments. The shift would create the North Platte Parks & Recreation Department.
Kelliher also will recommend Lyle Minshull be appointed to head up the new department.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. The live stream of the meeting can be found HERE and the complete agenda HERE.
