
Lexington, NE – September 15, 2025 – On Monday, September 15, 2025, at approximately 4:40 p.m., Lexington Police Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of Rimpley Lane in south Lexington regarding an active physical disturbance between a male and female.
Upon arrival, officers made contact inside the home with an adult female who had sustained serious injuries from an apparent physical assault. Witnesses indicated the male subject was outside the residence. Officers then exited the home and confronted the adult male, who was armed with a large kitchen knife. During the encounter, the male inflicted injuries on himself twice and did not comply with officers’ commands to drop the weapon.
As additional officers arrived, a Taser was deployed, and the subject was taken into custody without further incident. Officers provided emergency medical aid to both individuals until EMS arrived. Both the female and male were transported to Lexington Regional Hospital for treatment. The male was later transferred to CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney for further medical care.
The male, identified as 44-year-old Nestor Roman Argenal, was medically cleared by CHI Good Samaritan Hospital and returned to Lexington, where he was booked into the Dawson County Jail. He faces charges of first-degree domestic assault, two counts of child abuse, and obstructing a police officer.
The Lexington Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Lexington Fire and Rescue Department and Priority Medical. This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Lexington Police Department.
