In Loving Memory of Arlene “Penny” Ruth Peterson.
Arlene "Penny" Peterson, beloved wife of Harold L. Peterson for 56 years, was predeceased by her parents Mary and John Gonzales, and her siblings Dwayne, Larry, Katie, and Linda. She is survived by her siblings Elaine, Edward, Anita, Patty, Christine, and Nadine, as well as her daughters Cheryl, LuAna, Denise, and Margaret-Ann. Arlene had 15 grandchildren and 1 grandpooh. She passed away peacefully on May 16, 2024, at Curtis Healthy Choices, surrounded by loved ones. Arlene "Penny" was 85 years old.
Throughout Arlene “Penny” Peterson's life, she had many craft hobbies, ultimately becoming a master quilter. Arlene "Penny" started the Quilters Guild in Curtis, Nebraska. She won many ribbons with her quilts, which she showcased at Frontier County and State fairs in Nebraska. Arlene "Penny" taught quilting skills and touched the hearts of countless individuals.
Services will be held, Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11:00 am at Curtis Methodist Church, 402 Center, Curtis, Nebraska, with Pastor Donna Johnson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Curtis Senior Center, Curtis Methodist Church, or the Frontier County Ambulance.
