Robert G. 'Bob' Stucky (1935-2020)

Robert G. ‘Bob’ Stucky, 84 years of age, passed away July 4, 2020 at North Platte Care Center, North Platte, Nebraska.  Bob was born November 14, 1935 at Castleton, Kansas to Samuel and Lucy (Martz) Stucky.  He grew up on a dairy and wheat farm, near Hutchinson, Kansas. Bob graduated from Castleton Schools with 4 seniors in the final school year of Castleton Schools.  Bob served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve with Honorable Discharge and SP4 Rank.  He served from February 23, 1955 to January 31, 1963.  After 18 months of his duty he spent in Germany, he returned home to marry Ruth Ruebke.  He retired from the office machines business in Hutchinson, Kansas before moving to North Platte in 2014.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Douglas; plus seven siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth, celebrating 63 years of marriage; son, Bruce (Rachel), Maxwell, NE granddaughter, Ester (Tyler) Motsinger, Brady NE; great grandchildren, Kelcie, Jahlie and Peyton of Brady, NE; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was a member of First Baptist Church, Maxwell, NE.

Book signing will be Tuesday July 7, 2020 from 12:00P.M. To 7:00P.M. with family receiving friends from 5:00P.M. To 7:00P.M.

Services will be Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 12:00P.M. at the First Baptist Church, in Maxwell NE with Pastor Tim Lyzenga officiating.  Burial will be 1:00P.M. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery with Full Military Honors rendered by the North Platte Veterans Honor guard near Maxwell NE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Maranatha Bible Camp or First Baptist Church, both of Maxwell, NE or donor’s choice.
