North Platte, Ne - Since 1934, the Buchheit family from Missouri has been assisting farmers, ranchers and the everyday do-it-yourselfers find the everyday materials needed for daily operations. In the beginning, it was grocerys, then livestock feed, and now over 90 years later the Buchheit family carries on their family legacy with their stores, now in over 20 communities in 5 states.
The North Platte store, formally Orscheln Farm & Home, held it's Bechheit Grand Opening Wednesday morning. The new business welcomed local first responders from the North Platte Police Department, Sheriffs Department, Nebraska State Patrol, and North Platte Fire Department to their board cutting. Yes, the Buchheit's sawed a custom Buchheit North Platte board in two to celebrate the new store.
Grand Opening specials will continue at the new store throughout September at 2501 East 4th Street in North Platte.
