March 20, 2025 (North Platte, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will begin March 24 on N-2, from reference post 277.89 to reference post 280.41, and on N-21 from reference post 73.08 to 73.59, and on N-70 from reference post 75.01 to 75.24 according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Paulsen, Inc., of Cozad, is the contractor for this project. Work includes concrete pavement repair, storm sewer, lighting, concrete paving, milling, and asphalt overlay. Traffic will be maintained with traffic shifts, temporary traffic signals, and a pilot car and flaggers. On-street parking will be affected during construction and a 10-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is Sept. 2025.
The purpose of these projects is to preserve the transportation asset, improve the reliability of the transportation system and perpetuate the mobility of the traveling public.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
