Aspen Christine McNeilly (1995-2021)

Aspen Christine McNeilly, age 25, of Cozad, Nebraska, died January 29, 2021 at UNMC in Omaha, NE.  She was born on March 6, 1995 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Laura Lee (Cox) and Matthew Small McNeilly, III.

Aspen loved her animals and if there were any strays, she would rescue them.  She loved floating down the river, any kind of water activities, and shooting guns.  Her adrenaline was always running and she loved spreading love to her family, especially her son and three stepsons.  She enjoyed snowboarding and loved having FUN!  She lived wherever her heart would take her.  Aspen helped anyone who needed anything:  food, a place to sleep, or whatever they may need.  She loved everyone she met without judgement.

Survivors include her father, Matthew Small (Beth) McNeilly, III of Craig, Colorado; her son, Wyatt Enoch; three stepsons, Tyler Westgate, Brycen Hoffman, and Drake Hoffman, all of Cozad, Nebraska; her brother Devon McNeilly of Craig, Colorado; two sisters, Katerina Martinez of Greeley, Colorado and Samatha Grove; her fiancee, Shane Hoffman of Cozad, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Danielle Hoffman; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Lee Cox; her grandmothers, Linda Cox and Carole McNeilly; her grandfathers, Alvin Cox and Matthew McNeilly, Jr; her great uncle, Alvin McNeilly; and her uncle, Robert Cox.

Memorial Services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, in Cozad, Nebraska on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 10:30 am.  

Memorials may be given to Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, 620 10th St, Gothenburg, NE to help with the funeral.
