Kathleen Fern Marquette, 85, of North Platte, NE passed away December 30, 2025 in North Platte. She was born December 5, 1940 to George and Vera (Armstrong) Burrill in Providence, Rhode Island.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Melanie Marquette, her parents George and Vera, her sister Joan and her brother Kenny.
She is survived by Ed Marquette, her husband of 58 years, her daughter Denise (Mike) Munson, her son Larry (Amanda) Marquette, her sister Patricia August; four grandchildren: Eric and Eddie Gadberry, Elysia (Marc) Aberg, Alexa Munson (Kris Mayhew); five great grandchildren; her brother-in-law, John Marquette; her sister-in-law Ann Milton; and her niece Yolonda Milton.
She was most proud of the many years she worked at the Educational Services Unit in North Platte. She was also an avid reader, loved music and enjoyed bowling. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home followed by a procession to Fort McPherson National Cemetery where Kathleen will be interred. In honoring Kathleen's simplicity, a formal service will not be held at either location.
