Maria Elaine “Mary” Ginapp, 70, of Stapleton, passed away on August 18, 2021 at Great Plains Health. She was born to Frank and Lorraine (Houston) Mora in North Platte on April 2, 1951.
In 1975, Mary began a career at Mid-Plains Community College as the account executor and continued this career for 36 years until 2011. In 1976, she met the love of her life, Michael, and on September 18, 1978 they were married. A son, Tony, was brought to this union. The couple lived in North Platte until 1992 when they moved to Stapleton.
Mary was always the one to tell you exactly what was on her mind without holding anything back. She was mischievous and fiery. She was also extremely forgiving and cared for those around her deeply. She thoroughly enjoyed training dogs and horses. The grandkids would often accompany her on horse rides. Mary was most proud of her stallion, Freeway Pep, a 1986 AQHA and WAQHA working champion. She was the president of the River Valley Schutzhund Club for many years until closing it in 1989. Above all, Mary loved her family immensely.
Surviving Mary is her husband, Mike Ginapp of Stapleton; son, Tony Ginapp of Kearney; grandchildren, Jada, Bishop, and Gabriel; siblings, Delores (David Ladely) Nolda of North Platte, Thelma Fankhauser of Minneapolis, MN, April (Ken Kobza) Mora of Lincoln, Gene Mora of Phoenix, AZ, Margaret (Jesse) Soto of North Platte, Jon (Darlene) Mora of Lincoln; as well as many other family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lorraine Mora; brother, Tony Mora; niece, Kiana Meyer; and grandparents, Emilo and Mary Mora, and Frank Houston.
