Kathryn “Katie” Lynn Lerdall, 49, of Lexington, Nebraska passed away on May 13, 2023, at her home in Lexington.

Katie was born on October 12, 1973, in Lexington, Nebraska to Dennis L. and Lila L. (Stoll) Lerdall. She attended Bryan Elementary School and graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1994.

Katie was a smiley person who loved to giggle. She could brighten up a room with her laugh. She also loved to sing and listen to music. Katie enjoyed being on the go and would often take herself out for walks around the block and always made it home. You would often find her outside playing with all the neighborhood kids. She was involved in the Special Olympics and loved to race. Katie had quite a sense of humor and loved to play with her sister, Heidi. She would play as Heidi’s personal pony and let her ride on her back, crawl around the room and see how long it would take to buck her off. Katie was also quite sneaky. She was caught a few times hiding M&M’s underneath her bed where she stored them to have as a midnight snack when no one else was around.

Katie is survived by her sister, Heidi (Shawn) Church of Elwood, Nebraska; nieces, Rylee and Jacie Church, of Elwood, Nebraska, aunts and uncles, Don (Marcia) Stoll of Grass Valley, California, Karen Hays of Holdrege, Nebraska, and Terry (Susie) Lerdall of Elwood, Nebraska.

Katie is preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Lila Lerdall; stepfather, Vince Urban and grandparents, Elmer and Margarite Stoll, and Glenn and Dorothy Lerdall.
