Robert Victor Hanson, 89, of North Platte, NE passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Linden Court.  He was born on February 15, 1932 to Victor and Emma (Fosbinder) Hanson in Omaha, NE.
He graduated from Elsie High School in 1950 and attended Kearney State College.  He married Beth E. Cooper on June 14, 1953 in Grand Junction, CO.  He was a farmer and drove a school bus for North Platte and Elsie schools for many years.  He owned and operated Camperland RV sales in North Platte.  He enjoyed traveling and especially trips to Alaska.  Robert was a member of the Odd Fellows, Gideons, and First United Methodist Church in North Platte.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son-in-law, Greg Simon; brothers-in-law, Norlin and Eber Cooper; and grandson, Joseph Schultz.
Surviving Robert are his loving wife of 68 years, Beth E. Hanson; son, Matthew D. Hanson (Linda) of Lincoln; daughters, Joan M. Cooper (Butch) of North Platte; Joyce E. Delgado (Danny) of North Platte; Roberta A. Simon of CO and Susan K. Peters (Mark) of Lincoln; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. C.T. Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Douglas Delp officiating.  Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. M.T. in Elsie Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, November 22nd from 2 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 – 7 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to either the Gideons or to the North Platte Senior Center. According to Covid Guidelines masks will be worn per the family’s request.
