Norma Luene (Bryant) Brink, age 100, of Lubbock, TX formerly of
Plattsmouth, NE peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at
Brookdale Remington Park in Lubbock.
She was born on September 7,
1922, to Ray Victor Bryant and Florence V. (McNeel) Bryant in North
Platte, NE. Norma was raised and schooled in Plattsmouth and she
graduated from Plattsmouth High School with the class of 1940. Norma met
the love of her life, Elmore “Toots” James Brink and they were later
married on February 7, 1942, in Plattsmouth. Norma and Toots made their
home and raised their boys in Plattsmouth. In 1970, they moved to North
Platte and opened Brink Dodge. Norma worked as an accountant at Bryant
Motors in Plattsmouth and later at Brink Dodge in North Platte. In 1988, Norma and Toots moved to Phoenix, AZ, where they lived until 1994, when
they returned to Plattsmouth. Later, after Toots passed away, Norma
moved to Lubbock to be near her family.
Norma is survived by her
son: Dennis “Denny” Brink and his wife Diana of Lubbock, TX; five
grandchildren: Stacey Kneer and her husband Kevin of Lubbock, TX; Julie
Levy and her husband Kyle of Lubbock, TX; Amy Arndt and her husband
Clint of Litchfield Park, AZ; Dr. Jeffrey Brink of Phoenix, AZ; Dr.
Jeremy Brink and his wife Tammy of Phoenix, AZ; eleven great
grandchildren: Taylor Merchant and her husband Jordon, Benjamin Kneer,
Connor Levy, Wyatt Levy, Alex Wickham, Ryan Wickham, Charlotte Brink,
Ella Brink, Katie Brink, Lucy Brink, and Mae Brink; two great great
grandsons: Jaxson and Grayson Merchant; and numerous nieces, nephews,
cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Ray
and Florence Bryant, her husband: Toots Brink, and her son and
daughter-in-law: James and Linda Brink.
Visitations will be held
from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with a Rosary at 7:30 P.M., on Tuesday,
February 28, 2023, at Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth.
A
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M., on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at
the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Sean Timmerman officiating,
Terry Little as vocalist, and Laurie Hajek-Jones as organist.
Her Final Resting Place will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth.
The family suggests Memorials to St. John’s School or for Masses.
