August 24, 2025 (Lexington, Neb.) — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested a Tennessee woman after a brief pursuit in Dawson County.
At approximately 1:10 p.m. Sunday, NSP received a report of a Ford Edge speeding and passing other vehicles on the shoulder of Interstate 80. The vehicle was reportedly traveling eastbound near mile marker 215, near Gothenburg.
A trooper located the vehicle and clocked it traveling at over 100 miles per hour on I-80 near mile marker 221. The trooper attempted a traffic stop, but the driver continued eastbound, reaching over 120 miles per hour. The trooper initiated a pursuit.
Near mile marker 234, the driver of the Edge pulled over. The trooper performed a felony traffic stop. The driver exited the vehicle and began approaching the trooper and yelling. The driver refused to follow the trooper’s commands. The trooper then deployed a taser and was able to take the driver into custody.
