Spencer Randal Oaks, 19, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, in Lexington.
He was born on May 18, 2005, in Lexington, Nebraska to Tatum Fagot. He attended Lexington Public Schools and graduated from Lexington Senior High School with the class of 2023. After graduation, Spencer began working at Tyson in the maintenance department with their 1+2 program, so he could attend classes at Central Community College while receiving hands-on training.
Spencer was a big car fanatic. He had purchased a run-down Chevy Cavalier, and with his extensive knowledge of car machinery, was able to get it running and in great condition. He was known to be a reserved kid, but his personality shined when he was with his family and friends, especially with his brothers.
Those left to honor his memory is his mother, Tatum Fagot of Omaha; grandfather, Randal Fagot of Lexington; siblings, Jackson Oaks of Lexington, Ian Oaks of Kearney, and Lily Oaks of Lexington; aunts and uncles, Susan (Tom) Schmitt of Gothenburg, Michael (Teresa) Buckley of East Moline, Illinois, Kelly (Matt) Rich of Kearney, Brooke (David Ruiz) Lloyd of Lexington, and Jared (Keri) Fagot of Lexington, as well as many cousins, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Candace Fagot, and cousin, Katelynn Koubek.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington, Nebraska, with Father Jose Chavez, officiating. The service will be live-streamed via the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home Facebook page.
Inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery in Lexington.
Memorials are kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
