NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-Get your pets' CBD or valium because beginning Monday, the days in North Platte will be filled with explosions and the nights with even bigger explosions.
Vendors can begin selling fireworks in the city on Monday, which in turn means patrons can begin discharging them
The North Platte Police Department wants to remind residents that fireworks can be discharged from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. June 28-July 3, and from 8:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Independence Day.
While new state laws now allow for fireworks such as bottle rockets, these types of fireworks remain illegal in the city limits, due to city ordinances.
Failure to comply could result in citations and fines.
