NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — A 29-year-old North Platte man has pleaded no contest to charges related to the sexual assault of a young girl, following an investigation by local authorities.
Alexander Reed entered the plea Monday in Lincoln County District Court to one count of third-degree sexual assault of a child.
The investigation began after the victim’s mother contacted police, reporting that her daughter — who is under 10 years old — had been assaulted by Reed on multiple occasions.
According to the North Platte Police Department, Reed initially denied the allegations during questioning but later provided a written statement detailing three separate incidents.
