
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (April 15, 2025) — Students from North Platte St. Patrick’s Catholic Schools are heading to Atlanta this June after a standout performance at the 2025 Nebraska SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference.
Two St. Pat’s teams took top honors at the state level and will represent Nebraska at the national competition. The Opening and Closing Ceremonies Team — Natalia Wiezorek, Stephanie Budke, Savvy Miles, MaKenna Nelson, Dany Zheng, Miranda Huggenberger, and Kaelyn Brandt — earned first place, marking their fourth consecutive state title. The team previously placed third and twice finished second at the national level.
The Chapter Business Procedure Team — made up of Aashi Naidoo, Dimitri Pettit, Nick Krondak, Anah Caudillo, Jack Condon, and Coltan Ham — also secured first place. The win extends the team’s five-year state championship streak, highlighting their strength in collaboration and leadership.
Several students earned individual recognition as well. Wiezorek received the Jake Duncan Outstanding Leadership Award, honoring her service and leadership within SkillsUSA. Nelson placed first in Medical Terminology and will compete nationally in the health science category, while Zheng earned third place in Medical Math.
Since its founding during the 2020–2021 school year, the St. Pat’s SkillsUSA chapter has grown into one of the state’s most successful programs, known for leadership, service, and professionalism.
