North Platte, Neb. - North Platte Community College will welcome concert pianist Mark Valenti for a free public performance at 7 p.m. Oct. 3 in the McDonald-Belton Theater on the South Campus, 601 W. State Farm Rd.

Valenti has performed solo recitals throughout the United States and internationally in France, Belgium, Hungary and Luxembourg. His career highlights include performing for former First Lady Barbara Bush and appearing live on Chicago’s WFMT classical radio.

In addition to his classical performances, Valenti has jazz credits that include work with Gregory Hines, Frank Foster and Al Grey.

He holds music degrees from Northwestern University and the Philadelphia Musical Academy. His teaching experience includes universities and music institutes in both the United States and France. He currently teaches privately in Chicago.

The Oct. 3 concert is free and open to the public. Community members are invited to attend and enjoy an evening of live piano music at NPCC.
