Lincoln, NE – July 25, 2023 – The Mega Millions jackpot has been growing for over three months. Because of the high jackpot, the Nebraska Lottery reminds customers to play responsibly.
The Mega Millions jackpot starts at $20 million and continues to grow each drawing until it is won. There have been 27 consecutive drawings since April 21 without a jackpot winner. This run has grown the estimated jackpot for the Tuesday, July 25 drawing to $820 million or $418.3 million with the cash option selected. This is the 5th largest jackpot in the history of the game.
The jackpot run has produced some large Nebraska winners.
- A $10,000 Mega Millions winning ticket for the April 25 drawing was sold at Speedee Mart 2855, 1220 N 1st Street in Norfolk.
- A $10,000 Mega Millions winning ticket for the May 30 drawing was sold at Speedee Mart 2730, 4334 S 84th Street in Omaha.
- A $10,006 Mega Millions winning ticket for the June 30 drawing was sold at Main St Market, 401 So. Beltline Hwy. W. in Scottsbluff.
- A $10,000 Mega Millions winning ticket for the July 7 drawing was sold at Baker's #323 Fuel Center, 1615 N Bell Street in Fremont.
The largest Mega Millions jackpot on record occurred in October 2018 when one winner in South Carolina won a $1.537 billion jackpot.
