Patrick John “P.J.” Doherty, 40, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away January 22, 2022 at his home.  He was born July 8, 1981 in North Platte to Patrick Doherty and Sharon McKenney.  
P.J. grew up in North Platte and graduated from North Platte High School with the class of 1999.  He met Christi Rosenberg in high school in 1996 and they were married in 2000 in North Platte. To this union three children were born Alia, Keagan and Kade.  P.J. worked at Masonite in North Platte for the past 19 years.  As a child, he was funny and absolutely perfect.  He was always smiling and full of laughter.  He loved fishing and camping, he was so funny, his laugh was contagious, he loved everyone and everyone loved him, he loved his babies, had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone.  He loved his kids more than anything and was so proud of them.  

P.J. is survived by his wife, Christi, North Platte, NE; children, Alia Doherty, Keagan (Makayla) Doherty and Kade (Justin) Doherty all of North Platte, NE; his parents, Sharon (Doug) Keith, Brady, NE and Patrick Doherty, North Platte, NE; grandchild, Harper; brothers, Jason (Terra) McKenney, Jeremy Callihan, Jesse Callihan, Andy (Sarah) Doherty, Douglas (Kasee) Keith;  sisters, Jennifer (Josh) Empfield, Ricki (Lane) Black; grandpa, Raymond (Betty) McKenney; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and a lot of very close friends. 
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Minnie McKenney, Jack and Dorothy Doherty. 
Memorials are suggested to Christi and the children.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home in North Platte, NE with Dennis O’Brien officiating.  Visitation will be noon to 6:00 P.M., Friday, January 28, with family receiving friends from 4-6, at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home, who is in charge of arrangements.
The service will be livestreamed via the Adams & Swanson Facebook page for those unable to attend.
