Dec. 2, 2024 (North Platte, Neb.) — Weather permitting, an overnight closure will be in place Wednesday, Dec. 4, on Francis Street at the Jeffers Street Intersection, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.   

The east and west legs of the Francis Street and Jeffers Street intersection will be closed for both eastbound and westbound traffic beginning at 6:00 p.m. and are anticipated to be open by 7:00 a.m. Motorists are advised to utilize alternate routes during this time-period. 

Paulsen, Inc. of Cozad is the contractor for this project. The closure is for installation of new traffic signals at the Francis Street and Jeffers Street intersection. Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
