Lincoln County Commissioners to Meet Monday, Will Consider Budget Adjustments, Contracts, and Appointments

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) — The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will hold its regular meeting Monday, June 23, 2025, at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Room at the Lincoln County Courthouse in North Platte.

Among the items on the agenda is the consideration of Resolution No. 2025-12, which would authorize a transfer of $22,000 in budget authority from the Miscellaneous General fund to the Federal Payroll and Retirement accounts. Commissioners will also review claims, treasurer’s receipts, and a fee report submitted by the Lincoln County Sheriff.

A right-of-way application submitted by Eustis Plumbing and Underground will also be considered.

At 9:15 a.m., the Board will recess and convene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization to review minutes from its June 16 meeting, approve certificates of correction and refund, and consider valuation changes numbered 2025-014 through 2025-018 as submitted by the County Assessor.

Following the Equalization meeting, the Board will reconvene to hear a 9:20 a.m. update from Region 51 Emergency Management Director Brandon Myers.

At 9:30 a.m., commissioners will discuss a tort claim submitted by Marcia Jimenez regarding vehicle damage. At 9:40 a.m., they will consider authorizing the chair to sign a license agreement and service contract with Vanguard Appraisals Inc. for computer-assisted mass appraisal (CAMA) software for the County Assessor’s office.

At 10 a.m., the Board will review applications and consider appointments to the Nebraska International Port of the Plains Authority Board.

A closed session may be held if necessary to discuss litigation strategy, real estate matters, personnel security issues, or job performance evaluations.

The meeting will conclude with committee reports and a quarterly inspection of the Lincoln County Detention Center.
