The North Platte Board of Adjustment will meet Tuesday, March 24 at 8:30 a.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 211 West Third Street.
The meeting will include a public hearing on a variance request involving property at 2803 West 6th Street.
Board members will begin by approving minutes from their previous meeting held June 24, 2025, before taking up the scheduled public hearing.
The request, filed by WW Wood Limited Partnership, seeks variances to sections of the North Platte City Code governing intent and permitted uses within an R-3 Dwelling District.
According to the application, the zoning district is intended to support single- and multi-family residential development at higher densities. However, the applicant is requesting approval to use the lot for a different purpose.
Specifically, the proposal would allow the property to be used to power a pole for the installation of a yard light and security features without establishing a primary residential use on the lot, which is typically required under current zoning regulations.
The property is legally described as Lot 1, Cadena Replat in Lincoln County.
Following the public hearing and any action on the request, the board will move on to old and new business before adjourning.
All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting.
