North Platte, Neb. - Since August 12th, the Willow Street Viaduct has been closed due to repairs. When the City of North Platte made the announcement of the closure, the project was supposed to take around three weeks.
Fast forward a little over a month later and the viaduct project is still under repair, however is nearing completion. While repairing slabs on the viaduct, the contractor found more additional slabs that were bad. Rather then wait a year to fix them, the contractor made the repairs during this project.
The Willow Street Viaduct is anticipated to open late this week or early next week.
