Elaine (Dode) Boyle 87, of North Platte, passed away Sunday, May 7th surrounded by her loving family. Elaine was born in Central City, NE on October 11th, 1935, to William and Grace E. Hall. She was a high school cheerleader and graduated from NP High School in 1953. She was an active and dedicated member of the First Presbyterian church of North Platte where she served on several committees and assisted with various church events. Elaine’s delicious cookies and apple and pecan bars were always requested favorites for these events.

Elaine began her career with Northwestern Bell at a young age and later retired with over 30 years of service. Elaine was a loyal Huskers fan and loved watching “Her Boys” play. Tom Osbourne personally called to congratulate her on her retirement!

Elaine loved life and lived it to the fullest!
She loved music and dancing… and oh could she dance!
She loved tea parties and picnics in the park.
She loved shopping and lunch with friends.
She loved fried chicken and cherry pie.
She loved popcorn and cherry Kool-Aid.
She loved Crazy 8, Gin Rummy and Solitaire.
She loved late-night chats and bubble gum.
She loved children and dogs.
But…most of all, she loved her kids!

Elaine adored her family and devoted her life to raising her 3 children: Lori Boyle of Boise, Idaho, Mary Jo (Troy) Smith of Forest Grove, Oregon and son, Steven Boyle of Omaha. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother and was so proud of her family!

In addition to her 3 children, she is survived by her 6 grandchildren, Randi (Robert) Pedersen of Boise, Idaho, Jamie (Andy) Pulver of Sherwood, Oregon, Nikki (Johnie) Matthews of Springfield, Oregon, Brandy Jones of Omaha, Daniel Boyle of Omaha, Kaylie Boyle of Honolulu, HI, 9 Great Grandchildren, her sister Willa (Lowell) Fenster and many, many friends. She is preceded in death by her father, William Hall, Mother, Grace E. (Cherry) Hall, and sister Mary Lois (George) Schell.

Services will be held Tuesday, May 23rd at 10:30am at The First Presbyterian Church in North Platte with Graveside Services at North Platte Cemetery immediately following.

Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte has been entrusted with the arrangements.
