Ardis Tena Lorimer, age 88, of McCook, NE passed away on November 3, 2021 at Hillcrest Caring Center in McCook.
Ardis was born November 14, 1932 in Cambridge, NE to parents Ovra Benjamin and Josephine Florence (Heitman) Trosper. She was one of thirteen siblings who attended school in Cambridge, graduating from Cambridge High School with the Class of 1950.
On December 24, 1957, Ardis married Willard Lorimer in Lincoln, NE. To this union three children were born: Michael, Mark and Tena. The family eventually moved to the Wauneta, NE community where they made their home until moving to McCook in 1994. Ardis was employed by Parker Hannifin in McCook from 1978 to 1994 when she retired.
Ardis was a member of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening, canning numerous batches of green beans from her garden over the years. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved to spend time with them.
Ardis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard Lorimer; three brothers, Elden, Gary and Fredrick Trosper; six sisters, infants, Twila and Marie, Geneva Fuller, Roberta Menges, Mildred Farr and Donna Wier.
Those left to celebrate her life include her children, Michael (Laura) Lorimer of Imperial, NE, Mark Lorimer of Broken Bow, NE, and Tena (Brian) Gebers of Lincoln, NE; brother, Wren (Lou) Trosper of Arapahoe, NE; sisters, Joyce Boyer of Smith Center, KS and Dixie (Leonard) Swanson of Curtis, NE; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and life long friends.
Visitation, service, and burial will all take place Tuesday, November 9th. The visitation begins at 9:30 AM at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook, with Funeral Service to follow at 10:30. Burial will then be held at Fairview Cemetery in Cambridge.
