The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will take up several interlocal agreements, planning appointments and the county’s proposed 2026/2027 budget during its meeting Monday morning.
The commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Monday, September 14, in the Commissioners Room at the Lincoln County Courthouse. The Lincoln County Board of Equalization will meet at 9:15 a.m.
Among the items on the commissioners’ agenda are three interlocal agreements with the City of North Platte.
The board will consider an agreement covering dispatch services, along with separate agreements concerning road maintenance within the city’s jurisdiction and road maintenance within the county’s jurisdiction.
The commissioners are also scheduled to consider a long-term lease agreement with the Nebraska International Port of the Plains.
Several planning-related appointments are also on the agenda. Commissioners will consider reappointing Brent Roggow, Aaron Edwards and Zak Eickhoff to the Lincoln County Planning Commission, as well as appointing Tony Johnson to the commission.
The board will also consider appointing Brad Hisel to the Lincoln County Board of Adjustment and discuss an update to current Lincoln County Planning permit and user fees.
At 9:30 a.m., commissioners will discuss a tort claim filed by Aron J. Geiger.
The Board of Equalization will consider certificates of correction and refund submitted by the County Assessor, along with Notice of Valuation Change No. 2026-038.
The commissioners are also scheduled to hear concerns from elected officials, department heads or their representatives before moving into a 2026/2027 budget work session.
The final item on the agenda is to finalize the recommended 2026/2027 Lincoln County budget.
The board will also consider routine claims, treasurer’s receipts and a fee report from the County Clerk. Four special designated liquor permits submitted by Pal’s Brewing Company for events at the Homestead Pumpkin Patch are also on the agenda for events scheduled September 19, September 26, October 2 and October 9.
The meeting is open to the public and will also be streamed online through the Lincoln County Commissioners’ YouTube channel.
