Grant “Junior” Dishman was born in Gothenburg, NE to Doriene & Grandville Dishman on June 8, 1954 and left this life on March 16, 2023.  He is survived by his true love of 51 years, Irma Dishman, his children Misty Dampier and husband Peter Dampier (London, England) and their children Grant & Henry, Chris Dishman and wife Anne Dishman (Indianapolis, IN), children Taylor Cole and husband Zach, Tim Dishman, Reagan Graves, Charlie Graves, Kodie Dishman, and Heather Dishman (Phoenix, AZ).  He is also survived by his brothers Danny (wife Aurelia) Dishman, Randy (wife Patty) Dishman, Terry (wife Mary) Dishman, and Darla (husband Roger) Lungrin, and many, many loved family members and friends.

He had a long career at Tenneco Automotive and made many friends there he cherished including his official partner in tomfoolery, Milan Anderson.

Junior was a stranger to no one and man of great faith.  He loved his family fiercely and had an amazing outlook on life.  He loved working on cars including his 1950 Mercury, he enjoyed traveling to anywhere his feet, a flight or a boat could carry him and Irma.  Junior especially loved his time as Cozad’s special friend from the North Pole.  Nothing could be more magical than the wonder of Christmas in a child’s eyes and he loved being part of so many cherished family memories in the community.

He was kindness, generous, caring and loving and funny and the world is better for having him in it.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Junior’s wishes were to be cremated.  A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Cozad United Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Moore officiating. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 1 to 7 p.m., with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home.
