Ilene Helen Watson, age 78, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away, Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Linden Court in North Platte.
Ilene was born February 20, 1942 in Loup City, Nebraska to Henry and Dora (Schultz) Hawley.
Ilene attended school in Arcadia, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Royce Watson in Loup City, Nebraska making their home there for several years. They moved to Grand Island, Nebraska and Columbus, Nebraska until moving to Ogallala, Nebraska in 1976. In 1984 they moved to Chappell, Nebraska and worked for TRW then ASC for over 30 years.
She retired in 2005 and moved to North Platte in 2018.
Ilene loved to bake pies and chocolate cakes, shooting trap, fishing, riding motorcycles and boating.
Ilene is survived by her son, Robert (Sarah) Watson, of Chappell, Nebraska; daughter, Jean (Don) Brown, of Ogallala, Nebraska; brother, Richard (Colleen) Hawley, of Chase, Kansas; two sisters, Marie (Al) Raby, of North Platte, Nebraska; Peggy Teers, of Cheyenne, Wyoming; grandchildren; Jennifer (Eugene) Reeser, of Ogallala, Nebraska; Joshua (Amy) Brown, of Papillion, Nebraska; great-grandsons; Zachary, of Kearney, Nebraska; Zane, Blake and Braden Reeser, all of Ogallala, Nebraska; Pystol Brown, of Papillion, Nebraska; 3 great-granddaughters; Adyson, Kynzley, and Scarlytt Brown, all of Papillion, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother, Gary Hawley and an infant sister.
The family chose cremation.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
