
Paulina Caballero De Zelaya, 70, of Lexington, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer at the Lexington Regional Health Center.
Paulina was born October 25, 1950, in Jucuaran, San Miguel, El Salvador to Tomas Marenco and Vicente Caballero.
She was united in marriage to Angel Zelaya on August 30, 1970 in El Salvador. They made their home in El Salvador before moving to the United States in 2009. They lived in California for a year before moving to Lexington, Nebraska in 2010.
Paulina was a faithful member of the Peña De Oreb Church in Lexington. Being a good Christian was very important to her; she enjoyed long walks and listening to Christian music. Her family, church, and faith were always an important part of her life. Paulina has left a tremendous legacy of love and faith to her family.
She leaves to celebrate her life; her husband Angel Zelaya of Lexington; her children, Yakelina Pacheco of Lexington and Jose Zelaya of Lexington; eight grandchildren, with five living close to her, Luis Roquez, Anthony Zelaya, Katheryn Pacheco, Inmar Pacheco and Diane Pacheco; also survived by numerous family members in El Salvador.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington with Pastor Juan Carlos Bonilla, officiating. The service will be livestreamed via the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home Facebook page.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 1-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
Burial will be held in El Salvador.
