Manuel "Manny" Caudillo, age 77, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away on March 31, 2025 at Great Plains Health with his three sons by his side.  Manny was born September 3, 1947 in North Platte to Herman and Anastacia (Landeros) Caudillo.

Manny was raised in North Platte, graduating from North Platte High School.  Upon graduation, Manny was drafted into the United States Army in 1966, serving in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged in 1968.  He then went on to attend MPCC and received a license in HVAC.  With this license, he worked briefly for North Platte Plumbing before going to work for Union Pacific Railroad, hiring on as a pipefitter and retiring as a locomotive engineer.

In October of 1974, Manny met Patsy Jaure.  On June 30, 1982, the couple married and to this union, four children were born:  Manuel Jr., Luke, Jennifer, and Derek.  Manny modeled authenticity to his children; he marched to his own tune and was proud to do so.  He could also be a bit ornery, sometimes stubborn, and always funny.  Manny was heavily involved in the Mexican Athletic Club and enjoyed participating in the bowling, softball and basketball tournaments.  He was also an outdoorsman, a fisherman, and found joy in going on camping trips.  Above all else, being a grandpa was the pride of Manny's life.

Survivors include his wife, Pat, of North Platte; children, Manny (Dawn) of North Platte, Luke (Kalina) of Conifer, CO, Jennifer of Kearney, NE, and Derek (Susan) of North Platte; grandchildren, Eva, Stella, Briar, and Marcus; brother, Herman Caudillo, Jr. of North Glenn, CO; sister, Jenny Lopez of North Platte; and numerous other family members and many friends.
