We share with great sorrow that Donna R Alexander, 78, a lifelong resident of North Platte has passed on September 9, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer.  

Donna R Alexander was born January 17, 1946, to William and Bertha (Cline) Stone in North Platte, NE. Donna was the youngest of 5 siblings; Bob (Sonja) Stone, LeRoy (Patricia) Stone, Beverly Bayne, and Bill (Judy) Stone.

 Donna attended K-12th and graduated from North Platte High School in 1964.  She just attended her 60th Class Reunion this July.  

 On June 27th, 1969, she married Daniel Albrecht and later divorced in 1992.  To this union 3 children were born: James Albrecht, Rebecca Albrecht and Diana Albrecht.  On December 30th, 1995, she married the love of her life Ronald Alexander and remained married until he passed away in 2009. Donna and Ron always enjoyed the time they had together every year going on vacations and time out at the Lake Maloney Ski Club as well as hosting family and friend at their home in Calvary Hills. 

Donna spent many years taking pride in taking care of everyone and everything around her as well as years of maintaining her rental properties.  She loved to research Genealogy, and she put together several volumes of family history over the years. Anyone who knew her can tell you she would speak her mind and was never afraid to do so. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald, her parents, siblings, Beverly, Bob and LeRoy, sister-in-law Sonja Stone, nephew Timothy Stone, ex-husband Daniel Albrecht as well as best friend Cynthia Damme.

Survivors include children James (Marcise) Albrecht, Rebecca Albrecht, Diana Albrecht, brother; Bill (Judy) Stone, sister-in-law Patricia Stone, grandchildren; Emily Albrecht, Payton Albrecht, Allissa and LaDonna Roose, Kaelyn Wiles as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as best friend Annie Vieyra.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Eagles Club in North Platte between 3:00-6:00 pm. Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
