
Fred Tatman of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at the age of 81. Fred was born to Harold J. and Dorothy Tatman on July 11, 1941, in North Platte, Nebraska. Fred attended elementary school in North Platte and Kearney and graduated from North Platte High School in 1960.
He and Carol Evans were married in 1962 and would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on September 23rd.
Fred went to work for Sears in North Platte and transferred to several cities while in management positions with Sears. The family lived in Lincoln and Grand Island, Nebraska; Enid, OK; Garden City, KS; Fayetteville, AR; Nevada, MO; Minot, ND; and Appleton, WI, before retiring in 1993 and relocating to Springdale, Arkansas. Fred was active in the Fayetteville-Springdale Elks Lodge and loved spending time there with friends.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Harold, Terry, Jerry, and Ronnie Tatman; and sisters-in-law Ruth and Marlene Tatman.
He is survived by his wife Carol; daughter Carrie (Chad) Carlson of Springdale, Arkansas; sons Joseph Tatman of Abu Dhabi, UAE, Jason (Heather) Tatman of St. Louis, Missouri; his brother Larry (Joyce) Tatman of North Platte, Nebraska; and sisters-in-law Sue Tatman of North Platte, NE and Elaine Bailey of Tucson, AZ; as well as granddaughters Brittany Flores, Sydnee (Nate) Jackson, Andrea Tatman, Madilyn Carlson; and grandsons Cade, Braden, and Grant Tatman; 6 great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
