Samuel Parker, age 67, of North Platte, passed away at the Sutherland Care Center on April 17, 2022.
Sam was born to Wildia and Betty Parker on March 25, 1955, at Xenia, OH, where he grew up. After graduating from high school, Sam enlisted into the U.S. Army. Following his discharge he returned home and worked at a gas station.
Sam later moved to Bennett, CO, and worked as a mechanic for 16 years then moved to North Platte where he worked as an electrician at the Walmart DC. He eventually retired with a medical disability.
Sam loved working on cars to make them go faster and liked to race cars. He also enjoyed fishing and camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Denny Pitstick; and the love of his life, Janice Roberts.
Survivors include his daughters, Kelly Hawkins of South Lebanon, OH, and Jenny Hawkins of Lebanon, OH; niece, Patricia 'Trish' (Jed) Weir, of North Platte; nephew, Roger 'Lee' (Jessica) Osman, of South Fulton, TN; sisters, Donna Osman and Vivian Pitstick of Xenia, OH; and other family.
