Ivan D. Nickerson, age 70, passed away on November 17, 2020 at Centennial Park Retirement Village in North Platte, Nebraska. He was born on September 15, 1941 to Vern and Veda Nickerson.
Ivan graduated from Maxwell High School with the Class of 1959 and in 1960 studied at Luther Junior College. He started the electrical program at Mid Plains Community College and was very passionate about teaching and enjoyed all his students. He was retired from Mid Plains.
He was united in Marriage to Mary in 1987.
Ivan enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with the grandkids and family, and especially enjoyed the holiday gatherings and playing jokes.
Ivan is preceded in death by his parents.
Ivan is survived by his wife, Mary; sons Layne (Janeen) Nickerson and Jay (Diane) Nickerson; grandchildren Bryson, Nicole, and Dustin; and a great-granddaughter LeLani; and his brother, Lyle (Judy) Nickerson.
Memorials may be made to the family for a later designation. Services will be at a later date.
