
Chelsea left this life on October 8, 2021 at CHI St. Francis hospital in Grand Island, NE. She was 36 years old.
Chelsea was born February 15, 1985 in Central City, NE to Randy M and Connie F. (Green) Paul. She spent her young life in North Platte, NE and, for a while, in Central City, NE. She played softball in the NP Dynamics and Bandits teams. She also played basketball and, with her team, won a first-place tournament medal. Chelsea was baptized and confirmed at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Platte.
As Chelsea grew up, she lived in North Platte, Omaha, Grand Island, and Lincoln, among others. Chelsea worked at various places including Denny’s, Quick Stop, and the Central City Mall.
Chelsea struggled with addiction for many years but, above all, she loved and cherished her two children. They were the light of her life. Chelsea was a funny, caring person and would do anything for the ones she loved. She was also very stubborn and could be very exasperating! She lived her life the way she wanted. Chelsea traveled extensively and managed to cross the nation and visit almost every state. Chelsea will continue to be dearly loved and missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her children; daughter Jaquious King, son Martin Gonzales; Dad Randy (Brenda) Paul; mother Connie Poloncic, Central City; beloved grandmother Ina Carstens, Burwell; sister Amber (Brandon) Hain, Central City; brothers Nicholas (Nick Trede) Paul, Omaha and Brandon Paul, Grand Island; step-siblings Joseph (Megan) Poloncic, Raymond (Tiffany) Poloncic, Alex (Stephanie Melroy) Poloncic, Amanda (Kiley) Petersmith, Matthew (Jess) Smith, Jessica (Adam) Stouffer, Elk Point, SD; aunts and uncles: Ron (Carol) Green, Clayton Green, Ida (Matt) Stueven, Rhonda Traver, Ron Paul, Bob and Jane Paul, Susan Oppegard, Stanley (Pam) Paul, Jr.; nieces and nephews; Gavin Paul, Mataiya and Kai Smith, Lexi and Zoe Poloncic, Hendryk and Aiden Hain, Addison and Olivia Stouffer, and Josie Petersmith, and numerous cousins and other family members.
Chelsea was preceded in death by her step-dad, Tony Poloncic, grandparents Norris Carstens, Leroy and Faye Green, Stanley Paul, and Lynn Pettit; uncles David Brondel, Tim Green, Michael Poloncic, and Kevin Paul; aunts Carlene Green and Sherry Johnson; and cousins Todd Brondel and Jennifer Rosenberg.
Memorial services will be at Solt-Wagner Community Room in Central City on October 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Sheri Lodel officiating. Dinner at the Eagle will follow the service.
