A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Mary Stull “Maria M. Chavez” also had a loving family. At the age of 88 she passed away unexpectedly on March 6, 2024 in Minden, Nebraska.
She was born to the late Julio and Julia (Munoz) Chavez on April 4, 1935 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She grew up in Cozad and attended school in Cozad. She was united in marriage to Chester Morrow and had 4 children while living in Cozad. She later remarried Darrell Stull in Lexington and divorced after several years. She lived most of her life in the Cozad, Lexington and Kearney area. She spent the rest of her loving years with her boyfriend Keith Kramer.

Mary was in the hospitality industry for many years such as Kearney Clinic and Holiday Inn when she retired. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community in Kearney, Nebraska.

Mary had a wonderful sense of humor and always put a smile on your face during conversations when you would see her.  She loved music, dancing, singing and just the simple things in life. She had a natural talent to harmonize, which she learned earlier on in age with her older sister Josie, to sing “You are my Sunshine.”

Mary is survived by three children: seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, numerous brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends. Mary was predeceased by her loving parents, daughter, brother and sisters.

"Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories."

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 29th at 1:00 pm at Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad.
