Members of Job’s Daughters Bethel No. 4 in North Platte are celebrating Founder’s Week, honoring the legacy of Ethel T. Wead Mick, who founded Job’s Daughters International in Omaha in 1920.

Founder’s Week recognizes the organization’s history and the impact it has had on generations of young women. Bethel No. 4 has been part of the North Platte community for more than 100 years, providing young women with opportunities to develop leadership skills, build confidence, strengthen public speaking abilities, and give back through community service.

During Founder’s Week, members take time to reflect on the organization’s beginnings and the values it continues to promote today. Bethel No. 4 members also celebrate the friendships, leadership experiences, and community involvement that have been a hallmark of the organization for generations.

Bethel No. 4 will host a karaoke fundraiser on Friday, March 28, from 5–9 p.m. at Pals Brewing Company in North Platte. The event is open to the public and will feature karaoke, community fellowship, and opportunities to support local youth leadership programs.

Funds raised during the event will be split between Job’s Daughters Bethel No. 4 scholarships and promotional efforts and North Platte RDAP, helping support both youth leadership development and local community initiatives.

Job’s Daughters International is open to young women ages 10–20 and focuses on leadership development, public speaking, community involvement, and character building. Members participate in service projects, leadership opportunities, and activities designed to help them grow personally while building lifelong friendships.
