NORTH PLATTE - According to the Nebraska Department of Transportation, I-80 is open border to border in both directions. Westbound I-80 opened earlier Tuesday morning around 10:00am. Crews would focus on clearing the eastbound lanes and NDOT opened eastbound just before 11:30am. NDOT says sections of I-80 may still have slush, snow or ice on the roadway. According to NDOT, HWY 30 is now open in both directions.
NDOT wants remind drivers to turn off cruise control and reduce speed as roads may be snow packed or icy. NDOT also says don't crowd the plows as they continue to work on the roads. click here for the latest road conditions.
