(North Platte, Neb.) — The Leota Street intersection is now open. Francis Street will be closed west of Jeffers Street beginning today, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
The west leg of the Jeffers and Francis Street intersection will be closed for both eastbound and westbound traffic. Motorists are advised to utilize alternate routes during this time-period. The closure is expected to be in place for approximately one month.
Paulsen, Inc. of Cozad is the contractor for this project. The closure is for installation of storm sewer, and construction of new concrete pavement at the Francis Street intersection.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
