NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — The North Platte Police Department handled more than 550 calls for service during the week that included the Fourth of July holiday, according to the department's latest Police Activity Report.
Between June 29 and July 5, officers responded to 553 calls for service and conducted 70 traffic stops throughout the city.
During the reporting period, officers made 25 arrests, including seven felony arrests, 13 misdemeanor arrests, four warrant arrests, and one DUI arrest. Police also investigated 11 traffic accidents over the week.
So far in 2026, the department has responded to 12,203 calls for service, completed 2,449 traffic stops, and investigated 462 traffic accidents.
Year-to-date arrest totals include 158 felony arrests, 726 misdemeanor arrests, 201 warrant arrests, and 66 DUI arrests.
