
Paula Campbell peacefully passed away surrounded by family at her home in North Platte on May 9, 2023, at the age of 74.
Paula was born to Donald and Barbara Switzer on September 15, 1948, at North Platte where she grew up. After graduating from N.P.H.S. in 1966, Paula attended business school in Denver then worked at a Navajo Indian Hospital Clinic in Monument Valley, UT. She returned to North Platte where she earned her Associates of Arts Degree from Mid Plains Community College and worked as a secretary for the Nebraska State Patrol, criminal division.
On January 14, 1974, Paula married Doug Campbell in Cheyenne, WY. The couple lived in Idaho, Longmont, CO, back to Idaho, then Colorado Springs before returning to North Platte in 1985. Paula then worked for John Gale, Dr. Claussen and Great Plains Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church. Paula loved horses, tulips, and her family. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
Survivors include her husband, Doug, and daughters, Teresa (Brent) Wilderman of Bennington and Mollie Tuttle (David Magiera) of Culpeper, VA.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Odean Colonial Chapel then burial will follow in Fort McPherson National Cemetery. Visitation is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com.
