Christopher "Chris" Hurley, aged 53, passed away at Great Plains Health on July 13th, 2024. Chris was born on September 1st, 1970, to Thomas and Terry Hurley in Belle Fouche, SD, the 1st of 4 children. He graduated high school in 1989 in Gillette, WY. He worked his favorite job for over 20 years being a Transportation Engineer for the Railroad first at DMNE and later at UPRR. He also went to College at Mid Plains Community College and completed his program in Welding alongside his son, Sean.
In 1990, Chris met his future wife Denise and they married in 1992. They enjoyed their lives and family together for 32 years. Chris was a family man and loved his entire family with everything he had, being the best husband, father, son and brother he could be. Chris was an innate helper and was there to lend a helping hand whenever he could. Some even called his help "Hurley's Hoisting and Hauling Service" which always made him smile.
Chris held close his faith that he would be resurrected with perfect health on a paradise earth, based on John 5: 28, 29.
He was preceded in death by his father Tom and his brother Anthony.
Chris is survived by his wife Denise; daughter Ciara; son Sean; mother Terry; brother Matthew; sister Michelle; nephews Isaiah and Jameson, and nieces Erica and Emmalee.
