OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton Men’s Tennis freshmen Neil Saxer and Timothée Lustig have been selected to represent the BIG EAST Conference at the 2026 ITA Conference Masters Championships, taking place Nov. 5-8 at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga.
Saxer and Lustig will compete in the doubles portion of the event after being selected via a nomination and balloting process where the BIG EAST head coaches could not vote for their own athletes. A small subcommittee of non-involved head coaches certified the votes and ranked any alternate selections as necessary.
The freshmen duo has been impressive in their first semester as Bluejays, posting a 3-1 record after advancing to the Round of 16 of the ITA Central Regional Championships a few weeks ago.
The 2026 ITA Conference Masters Championships will have a draw size of 32 singles players and 32 doubles teams. From this, four players (4) will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championships (semifinalists). Meanwhile, two doubles teams (2) will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship through the Conference Masters (champion & finalist). Each NCAA AQ-eligible, Division I conference will designate one singles player and one doubles team from each gender to participate in the event.
