Alice was born to Bill and Elsie Schmidt on May 25, 1949 in North Platte, Nebraska. She then married the love of her life Ray John Spencer June 28, 1969. Alice and Ray lived their married lives of 53 years in Nebraska, Colorado, and Wyoming. Alice spent many years working as a cosmologist at Marilynn's Hair A Rama and then the Pawnee Beauty Salon, where she eventually was pushed into retirement due to her back and leg issues.
Alice had many hobbies which included crafting, crocheting, and painting ceramics. Alice was known for making delicious meals with love for her large family. She always made the best homemade Christmas Candy to share with her loved ones. Alice's heart was always full when her grandchildren would come and visit...especially her babies...she just loved her babies! She and Ray had a huge part in raising some of their grandchildren. Alice was always a loving compassionate caregiver to her family and friends. She was a rock and the glue that held the family together. Alice was by the side of her loved ones as they passed away. She buried her brother Darryl Schmidt, sister Mary Schmidt Britton and her parents Bill and Elsie Schmidt. Alice also insisted on being at the birth of all of her grand babies. She was an awesome coach! Alice loved music especially Gospel such as the Statler Brothers, Oakridge Boys, Kenny Roger's, Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline and many other classic country music. Alice was able to listen to her gospel music and her family singing and praying for her as she was going to be with Jesus! Alice was always willing to give a helping hand to others putting her needs last. She was a Wonderful Mother, Sister, Daughter, and Grandmother.
