
Finch Albert Nicholas, age 100, died January 29, 2022 at Centennial Care Center in North Platte, Nebraska. He was born August 12, 1921 in North Platte to Harley and Golda Nicholas.
He grew up on a farm in the Platte Valley area. Finch worked at PFE Railroad at least thirty years and retired in 1981. He was united in marriage to Alice J. Page on December 17, 1941 in Ogallala, Nebraska. They were married sixty-two years. Finch and Alice built their own home along Hwy 83 in 1951, he has lived there for seventy years. Finch was always helpful with any projects his family had big or little, even remodeling and building homes. When anyone in the family had vehicle problems, he was the person to call.
Finch leaves behind a daughter, Jackie Konruff, North Platte, Nebraska; sons, Perry (Char) of Hershey, Nebraska, Edwin (Dianne), Glendale, Arizona, Gary (Kristi), Littleton, Colorado; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
He is preceding in death by his wife, Alice; parents, Harley and Golda; a sister, two brothers and a son-in-law.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M., Friday, February 4, 2022, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home.
