The North Platte Board of Education is seeking input from the community as it begins the process of hiring a new superintendent for North Platte Public Schools.
The board is asking administrators, staff members, parents and community members to participate in a survey designed to help identify what the district should look for in its next superintendent.
The survey asks respondents to identify the strengths and accomplishments of North Platte Public Schools, as well as the strengths and advantages of the North Platte community.
Participants are also asked what challenges they believe the district is currently facing — or may face in the coming years — and what type of background and experience the next superintendent should have.
The final question asks what personal and professional qualities community members believe will be important in the district's next leader.
The survey is being conducted through the Nebraska Association of School Boards as part of the superintendent search process.
Community members can participate in the survey here.
The district cautions that responses and progress will only be saved once the survey is submitted. Leaving the survey before submitting it will result in responses and progress being lost.
The survey is available in English, Spanish and Somali.
North Platte Public Schools has not provided a deadline for completing the survey in the information provided.
