     Ronda Jean Baker (Houchin) went home to be with our Father in Heaven on Friday, January 27th, 2023.  Ronda was born on January 3rd, 1952, in North Platte, Nebraska where she resided most of her life.  Ronda was 71 years old.

                  Ronda is preceded in death by her parents, Sylvia (Wood) and Cecil Houchin, and her first husband Frank Johns Sr., along with her second husband, Richard VanHouten. Ronda is also preceded in death by her siblings, Glenda & Dallas, and sadly her two sons, Frank Jr. and Dale.
          Ronda is survived by her husband, Paul Baker of 8 years. Children, Debbie and Travis & his Fiance Lisa, step-daughter, Rhea.  Grandchildren; Natasha, BJ, Jesla, Rebecca, Shelby, Nevin, Rylin, Ashtin, Gracie, Chelsea, Alexis, Caleb, Abigail.  Great-grandchildren; Briyana, Lilyan, Amiya, Marley, Barry, Keith, Samuel, Aria, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Also, many friends that have turned into family, Penny (best friend of 50yrs), Kathy, Janelle, Patti and Homer, Debbie and many other people she loved.

          Ronda grew up and got married to Frank Sr. and had 4 kids with Frank Sr. She enjoyed being a Mom and wife & especially the role of being Grandma & Great Grandma to her grandchildren. Ronda then married Richard.  She loved working with her husband Richard running the 1st Interstate Inn in North Platte for years and many other hotels.  After several years Richard retired which then led to Ronda retiring.  In that time unfortunately Richard passed away.  After some time she married her last love Paul.  Ronda and Paul enjoyed being retired and especially going to church and at times playing cards with friends.  Ronda also enjoyed baking, listening to music and gardening in her yard.  Ronda was an animal person, she loved her dogs; Cuddles, Joy and Jake.  She loved watching the animals at Cody Park.  Also going to church and being with her church family and pastor Johnson. Ronda was a devoted Christian and member of Riverside Baptist Church for many years.  Ronda was one of a kind Mom & Grandmother.  There are no words on how truly loved she was.  She will be forever in our hearts until we meet again, fly high our sweet angel.

     Services will be held on February 11, 2023 at 3 p.m. at Riverside Baptist Church with Pastor Dwayne Johnson officiating.  

     Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
