Mid-Plains Community College is offering opportunities for the public to learn Spanish at its campuses in Imperial and North Platte.
The MPCC Imperial Campus will teach Conversational Spanish in the Workplace from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays Feb. 21 through March 27.
The beginning conversational course will focus on workplace expressions using high frequency vocabulary. The instructor is Jan Coone, and the fee is $69. Those interested can register by calling the campus at (308) 882-5972 or emailing [email protected].
MPCC’s North Campus in North Platte will host Beginning Conversational Spanish for Youth from 5-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays March 5 through April 11.
The six-week interactive course is geared toward ages 6-13. Participants will learn conversational Spanish skills and how to conduct simple conversations.
A similar class, Beginning Conversational Spanish for Adults, will also be offered in North Platte for anyone age 14 or older. Those sessions are scheduled for 6-7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays March 5 through April 11.
Both North Platte classes will be in Room 107 of the W.W. Wood Building, 1101 Halligan Drive. The fee is $89 for each.
